I noticed that about a month ago the Styx lpmud, last seen at styx.dk
3000, went offline. I'm one of the original (circa 1991) admins, and
am trying to get in touch with anyone who can track down the current
owners. If you, or someone you know, has any information concerning
their whereabouts, please contact me at the address above. Thanks.

Hey Mike,

I used to play for there for several years and would check back from
time to time to see what's up and also noticed it was down. I know
that the old homepage used to be located at http://www.daimi.au.uk/~clemens/styx.
The old website appears to have been removed but if you just go to
http://www.daimi.au.uk/~clemens/ you get the website including links
to a facebook profile of who I believe is the last known owner. Let
me know if this helps and you find out anything!

I have a dedicated server and I'm interested in providing hosting for
projects like this. My charter is to provide technology services for
text based social games. The server is user-supported, which for most
MUDs would mean free and ad-free hosting for the MUD and any supporting
website.

I'm willing to completely fund and run the code-base that existed at dreamtime.nmsu or before - the older the better.

Ideally would like the code base before the wiz Stalker was banished. Don't want anything to do with the crap Boltthrower and crew stuck in after the move.

If old favorites, Angus, Aragon, Dagnasty etc. are willing to resume their older positions with me just being another player, all the power to them - fully willing to accept.

Man..you mean all the wizards who horribly cheated to benefit their mortals(angus is the exception)? The "crap" boltthrower and crew put together helped to advance and fix a ton of terribly pstched together code? Im assuming you havent logged in much as of late and see the wonderful clssses fluffy has created, and the one bolt created...or the randomeq system, lotto system, and hunt. Or the changes to monsters, classes, anything really..the only way the "old" styx was able to really work was becsuse it had a huge pbase, and now adayd eith MMORPGS muds are sadly a dying breed. Yeah i know theres muds like 3k and aardwolf who still draw people in but its super tough.
